The Hedgehogs got some revenge for their defeat in the league 2 weeks previously, winning this London & SE cup tie v Enfield Ignations
Enfield kicked off and Hitchin were soon on the defensive, but they held their line intact. Stand in stand off Carwyn Morgan opened the scoring for the home side with a penalty after 15 minutes.
A penalty for Hitchin did not make touch but the follow up chase put Ignatians under pressure and a clearance kick was charged down for Sean McGinnity to score one of his trademark tries.
Score at halftime 8 – 0 to the home side.
A period of sustained pressure by Ignatians resulted in the Hitchin pack being pushed off their own put in and Ignatians crossing for an unconverted try.
A good run down the wing with several Hitchin players exchanging passes brought the play to within metres of the Igantians line and ended with James Bolter going over for an unconverted try.
Ignatians countered with an unconverted try of their own
Hitchin got a final try from a scrum on the Ignatians 22 for Alex Baber- Norris to score in the corner
Net week Hitchin travel to Harrow RFC, and on 14 December they host Royston RFC in the last league fixture of 2019
