New Club Coach

« Club Coach | Main | TRAINING STARTS »

I am pleased to announce the appointment of David Marshall as Club Coach for the coming season. David is rejoining Hitchin from Ampthill having completed his level 3 coaching qualification during the last six months.

David is a qualified SAQ and coaches’ level 2 tutor and is also on the RFU coaches mentoring scheme. This places him in the top 50 up and coming coaches in the country. David is re-joining the team at Hitchin with the aims of improving the standard of coaching and play received by our top side while providing the right coaching support and opportunities for our colts to develop as members of our senior club. David has a stated commitment to achieving two promotions for Hitchin over the next three seasons; the Committee fully endorses these aims.

David, has a strong belief in the ability of Hitchin to progress through the league structure, but to make this happen requires our support as a committee and your support as players. The Committee is fully behind David and wholeheartedly endorses his aspirations for the Club in the coming seasons. Please show you support on the pitch though your regular and punctual attendance at training.

Pre-season training starts on Tuesday July 3rd. Please be at the club ready to train at 6.45 for a pre-training session on to improve speed, agility and quickness; training proper will start at 7.30 p.m. Please arrive early to allow for a prompt start.

I am grateful for the hard work of John Drew and the rest of the Committee in allowing us to make this appointment and I look forward to the coming season with anticipation.

Kind regards

Peter Tasko
Club Chairman
