Champions again - 3 years in a row!

Here goes then . First of all there were 3 teams this year. Letchworth , us and what was described as a sort of army team who turned out to be a bunch of recruits about 16 years old and 12 stone between them . Because Hitchin were the holders it was decided that the army and Letchworth would pull best of three to then pull against Hitchin. Letchworth won 2-0 and so faced Hitchin. Letchworth won the toss and so elected to pull down hill first. This they did and won , but with 9 in the team and so had to pull again . This they did but lost . Hitchin then finished them off with an easy one handed pull down hill , serves them right for cheating.So once again Hitchin retained the trophy and more important the free beer. The team :- Carl Astley , Joff Lord , Chris Johnson , Dale Baines , Steve Allison , Dan Trampenau , Andy Sherman and Deon Marevich .
A finer example of team work and the beating of the Letchworth cheats could not be found anywhere on the planet , or at least at Willian.Well done all.
