TRY MINI & YOUTH RUGBY AT HITCHIN RFC’S OPEN DAY!

Sunday 9th September 2007

The Rugby World Cup is with us and England defend their status as world champions. The search is well and truly on at Hitchin Rugby Club for future generations of rugby stars!

Hitchin Mini & Youth Rugby hosts their annual Open Day for budding rugby players on Sunday 9th September from 10.15 a.m and welcome new players of all abilities, even new to the game. Girls and boys from 5 to 18 are welcome to come along for an introduction to the sport at Hitchin RFC, King George V Playing Field, Old Hale Way – no rugby knowledge necessary!

All abilities, shapes and sizes are welcome! There’s room for all in rugby and the aim of the Club is to provide enjoyment, fitness, discipline, social skills as well as a grounding in rugby.

Hitchin is a very successful club at mini and youth rugby level, running sides at every age group. The Open Day is designed to introduce any person under 18 to the Club and to rugby in a safe and enjoyable way.

As well as an introduction to rugby, there will also be raffles, tombolas plus a BBQ and bar. Just turn up with some sports kit on 9th September and have a great time finding out about rugby. You never know, a future England player could be in Hitchin!

For further information contact Tim Jeffries (Chairman) on 01763 287460 (evenings).
