Another fantastic turnout this week with even more new players. Thank you again to all the parents that helped out during the session.

Player of the Week

Well done to Naomh Taylor who was awarded ‘Player of the Week’. Naomh showed excellent skills in the initial session and then performed well in the U7’s support drill and match.

30th September – Letchworth Festival

For those of you who have been selected for the festival this coming weekend, can you please ensure that you are at Letchworth by 9.00am at the latest. Our first game is at 9.30am and the presentations are at 12.45pm if all goes according to plan! All players need to be in the Hitchin Kit (Hitchin rugby shirt, black shorts & maroon socks) and it is recommended that all players have gum shields and shin guards. Also don’t forget food, drink and extra clothes to keep warm between games.

7th October – Milton Keynes

We have a fixture at Milton Keynes on Sunday 7th October and the following players have been selected for this fixture: Alex Baber-Norris, Ethan Brace, Dylan Crofton, Connor Dudley, Sam Henshaw, Guy Honnywill, George Lanyon, Holly Pomfret and Naomh Taylor. Further details about this fixture will be posted on the website next week.

Training

There will be training for the remaining U7’s at the club on Sunday 30th September and Sunday 7th October at the usual time 10.30am. Tim Bonnett from the club will be taking the training (thanks Tim), but can I also ask for some parents to help during the sessions.

Registration

As a reminder, any players wishing to take part in matches will need to be registered with Hitchin RFC and the RFU. If you want to play in our next fixture on Sunday 28th October, you must return all your forms by Sunday 20th October at the very latest. Don’t forget that Sam Ridgewell (Membership Secretary) will not be at the club for the next two weeks.

Mini Tour

We will be taking an U7’s team on tour at Easter along with the other mini sides. At present we have 5 players going but we need at least two more to make a team. If anyone is interested, please contact Jill McCracken on andy.mccracken@ntlworld.com or let me know urgently as numbers need to be confirmed asap.
