Dear Parents,
Another great turnout this week and a big thank you to Adrian, Tim, Mel, Tom and all the others who helped run the session on Sunday. I hear it was another great success and the children enjoyed themselves again.
Congratulations also goes to Ethan Brace who won the "Player of the Week" award. Adrian chose Ethan as he performed well throughout the session, showing a high skill level at all tasks. He also played very well in the U7's training match.
This Sunday will be normal training. After that the following two weeks we have the Letchworth Festival (30th September) and a game at Milton Keynes (7th October). Unfortunately I am only allowed to submit one team on these two weekends and my intention is to select the more experienced U7 players who were part of the squad last year. The reason for this is that I have not had enough time to work on match situations with the new players and therefore feel it would be unfair to throw them into these situations unprepared. However, I do hope to be able to submit two teams at future fixtures so there should be plenty of opportunities for all players. Please bear with me.
The following players have been selected for the Letchworth Festival: Ethan Brace, Connor Dudley, Dylan Crofton, Sam Henshaw, Laurence Hidle, Guy Honnywill, Holly Pomfret, Emilia Reece-Jones, Naomh Taylor, Henry Tucker. If for any reason you are unable to play, please can you notify me by Sunday 23rd September so I can find replacement players. Also can you make sure you have provided Sam Ridgewell (Membership Secretary) with two passport photos so the necessary RFU cards can be made up. Sam will be at the club on Sunday morning. Further details about the festival will be posted on the website next week.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, fingers crossed for good weather again!
Kind Regards
Andy Dudley
