U8s - First training sessions blows away 'Summer cobwebs'

« PUB GOLF | Main | Hitchin B 5 v Hendon 17 »

There was an excellent turn out at today's first training session of the new season (See team photo)

There were 9 of last year's 'Hitchin RFC Junior team of the Year' U7s; so welcome back Alex, Alfie, Ben, David, Harry D, Harry L, Jonathan, Jordan and Sam.

We'd also like to welcome Pippa to the team, who in the first week showed she is going to be a valuable addition to the team. We also look forward to the return of Elliot next week; hope your football tournament went well?

Everyone really tried hard today and set a very good example to all the U7s, especially the new ones, who we trained with this week - thank you and well done.

Also thank you to all the Mums and Dads who turned up to support - long may it continue!!

Next week we are training again as it is our 'Open Day' - remember to ask a friend this week if they would like to come along on Sunday at 10.15 to try 'tag rugby.'

We will also be awarding our first 'Player of the Week' trophy; so lots of effort!

See you all Sunday

ps. Part of the benefits of membership is being able to buy tickets for the Saracens Home games. The next match is on the 23rd against Gloucester. Tickets cost £18 per adult and child with additional child tickets at £5 and additional adults at £13. If we sell enough tickets through the season the U8's will get to play a game of TAG at Vicarage Road so lets get behind the Team and encourage our families and friends to buy tickets!
