Sunday saw Hitchin ladies second victory this year, and a win in their first league match

As Milwall were only able to field 9 players, Hitchin took the points before kick off but played the game anyway, lending Milwall three of their players. From the beginning Hitchin looked the stronger more organised team. Communication was good and with the forwards and backs pulling together it was possible to get the ball out wide to the backs and to winger Nerys Martin who scored an impressive five tries. Other notable performances came from Lily Harley who scored 3 tries and Cate Wilson who put in a series of very strong tackles. A fantastic start to the league season.
