SUNDAY 9TH DECEMBER

This week, Sunday 9th December we have two fixtures at Stockwood Park and Leighton Buzzard. The teams for these fixtures are listed below; Adrian Pomfret (Holly’s dad) will be taking the team to Leighton Buzzard and I will be taking a team to Stockwood Park.

Can all players please meet at Stockwood Park and Leighton Buzzard at 10.00am. For those players who have not played matches before, players will need to be in full Hitchin kit (Hitchin jersey, black shorts & maroon socks), gum shields and shin guards are also recommended.

Stockwood Park

This is a triangular fixture with Bedford so we will be playing at least two matches, maybe more during the morning.

Directions:
If arriving from the M1 leave at junction 10 and take the first turning off of the roundabout at the end of the slip road. A short distance down that road you will come to traffic lights, turn left at the lights then right into the Stockwood Park RFC car park. From Luton town centre head up Castle Street into London Road and when you get to the traffic lights turn right then right into the car park. Stockwood Park RFC club house is at the end of the car park, our three pitches to the left. For anybody who knows the area it's the same road into Stockwood Park as for the golf course.

Leighton Buzzard

This is a straight fixture against Leighton Buzzard so we will hopefully have three matches during the morning.

Directions:
From the south
Leave M1 Southbound at Junc 12. Turn left towards Toddington. In Toddington at main village green turn right at Bell Public House towards Tebworth. Follow this road through Tebworth for 2.5 miles to a T-junction. Turn left onto A5 towards Dunstable. Follow A5 to Roundabout. Turn Right onto A505 Leighton By Pass. Take second right off Bypass ( signposted Stanbridge Road Industrial Estate) LBRFC is half a mile up on right hand side.

SUNDAY 16TH DECEMBER

Sunday 16th December is our last training session before the Christmas break. As mentioned previously I intend to run a series of small sided games / matches during the morning, like a small festival. All players are welcome to take part including the younger players from the U6 age group. We will mix up the experienced and less experienced players into teams and play a number of 5 or 7 a side matches during the morning and see which team comes out on top!!!!

Please Note: In order to plan this session I need to know which players will be attending. The teams for this event will be selected next week so if you would like to be involved please can you let me know by Monday 10th December.

TRAINING

Please note unfortunately there will be no training at the club this week, Sunday 9th December.
