An excellent final training session on Sunday and thankfully the weather was considerably better than the last few weeks. We put together our own little U7’s festival with six teams playing each other in a round robin basis. All the players participated even the younger U6 players and it was a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Well done to all the players for their commitment and effort during the morning and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Congratulations go to the CHEETAHS who came out on top – they were unbeaten during the morning, winning 3 and drawing 2 of their five matches, although the PANTHERS pushed them close and only missed out in the last match. Thanks to Adrian and Tom for referring the matches with me and also thanks to Jez, Brian, Gordon, Martin, Glyn & Andy who helped run the teams. It was a great way to round off the first half of the season!!!!

‘Player of the Week’ was awarded to Daniel Hill this week. Daniel is one of our new players this season and I have been very impressed with how he has developed over the past month. He showed excellent all round skills during the games on Sunday contributing to the Cheetahs success. I was particularly pleased with his running, dodging and support play. Well done Daniel, keep up the good work.

We now have a two week break over the Christmas period, which you’ll all be pleased to hear!! We reconvene on SUNDAY 6TH JANUARY 2008.

As mentioned on Sunday the first two weeks back we have away fixtures; at St. Neots on the 6th January and at Luton on the 13th January. Please can you let me know about your availability for these weeks?

The teams for these fixtures will be selected and posted on the website the week commencing 31st December. Please note for those players not involved in the matches there will unfortunately be no training at the club on these Sundays. Our first full training session will be Sunday 20th January.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and I will see you all in the New Year.
