U11 defeat Cambridge in front of 3,000 crowd.

The crowd really paid to watch the Hitchin U11 play Cambridge on Saturday, not the Division 1 match between CRUFC and London Scottish that followed. After Hitchin's defeat by Cambridge in last years final of the Cambridge Festival that featured other clubs such as Bedford Blues and Hertford (who were both beaten by Hitchin in the run up to the finals) the guys really had developed an urge to push that extra bit to win.

They pushed that extra bit and they got the win 14-26 - a tremendous effort which Cambridge players and coaches took with great spirit, if not a bit of sadness, adding that they were looking forwards to seeing us at the North Herts Festival where they are the guest club and also at their festival at the end of the season.

A cracking start to the season, the standard has been set keep it up!!
