Beer prices
And the good news is... The Bar Committee decided to stick two fingers up at the Chancellor and not agree to his insistence that we increase beer prices by 2½%. Also we decided not to go along with this round of brewery increases which, together with the VAT hike, is liable to 10p-20p on the price of a pint in the pubs. So members can carry on buying 4 pint jugs for just £8.
And the bad news? Well, there isn’t any. At least not at the moment, but you can’t trust the Chancellor or the breweries to keep their prices down!
