February 25, 2008 Hitchin u17 53 v Barnet u17 10

Having not played for a few weeks the U17’s were keen to get back on track. Last time we played Barnet the conditions were wet and windy but still managed a healthy score.

January 28, 2008 Harpenden U17 72 v Hitchin U17 0

The first cup game of the season saw us travel to Harpenden. Harpenden’s pitches were heavy under foot, but it was a bright day and only a slight wind.

January 13, 2008 Hitchin U17 43 v Beford U17 7

After a good 5 week break for some of the players the first game of the new year was a league game against Bedford, who we had lost to last season. The Hitchin players enjoyed a good Christmas and the last two weeks training had been all about regaining the pr-Christmas fitness levels

December 9, 2007 Grasshoppers U17 18 v Hitchin U17 15

Hitchin arrived at Grasshoppers after the long wet drive keen to get on with what was to be a tough test against top of the table opponents. Both sides unbeaten in the league to this point there was a lot at stake.

November 25, 2007 Ealing U17 3 v Hitchin U17 10

'They'll Need Some Healing in Ealing'

It was a bright sunny morning when the Hitchin Under 17s arrived at
the Traiilfinder Sports Centre for their top of the table clash against
league leaders Ealing.

November 18, 2007 Stevenage U17 15 v Hitchin U17 36

Hitchin arrived at Stevenage aware that this was a tester for the league game to come later in the season. As always we receive a warm welcome. With Will Anderson still suffering from a calf injury he was the only player missing from last week.

November 11, 2007 Hitchin U17 27 v Tring U17 19

Hitchin went into this game unbeaten and feeling confident, but it quickly became apparent that Tring were a very well organised side with a strong forward pack and useful backs.

October 29, 2007 Barnet U17's 3 v Hitchin U17's 31

Having not played Barnet for 2 years Hitchin didn’t know what to expect. Weather conditions were poor, a cross wind and heavy rain meant that Hitchin were going to have to play a tight forward game. Hitchin started well with a massive tackle from Duane, unfortunately the recipient appeared badly hurt and had to leave the pitch

October 15, 2007 Cheshunt U17 0 v Hitchin U17 7

Hitchin U17’s arrived at Cheshunt with only 15 players having had guys withdraw during the week. George had had a great time at his mothers birthday and was unfit to play. We played Cheshunt last year and lost to them, however the lads in warm up looked sharp and were keen to start well.

October 7, 2007 Hitchin u17 41 v Ruislip U17 7

Hitchin were playing in the changed strip of yellow and blue, and although the shirts were senior sizes a lot of them were too small. Whilst going through the pre-match warm up it was immediately evident that Hitchin were up for the game, having lost to Ruislip in the league last season. That being said the lads were very much aware that they are a better more balanced side this year

September 30, 2007 Stockwood Park U17 0 v Hitchin U17 90

Having lost three players during the build up to this game Hitchin arrived at Stockwood Park with only 16 players. From the start it was clear that the lads were up for the game, this season blessed with pace in the backs and strong hard running forwards, Hitchin were keen to hit the ground running
