Hitchin RFC will once again host Hitchin Street Food Monthly and the North Herts Rugby and Netball festival on Saturday 12th August 2023.
Rugby Netball Weekend
The event will bring some of the best local food and drink providers to the rugby club, alongside some live rugby and live music. It is a totally free event to enter and there will be an opportunity to donate to our charity of the year, the Alzheimers Society, a cause very close to our hearts.
For the rugby club, this event always attracts Hitchin-ites who may only visit the club once a year. In previous years we have had many comments from people who didn't even know the rugby club was there before coming. In addition, the club bar will of course be open, raising valuable funds for the upcoming season. It would be brilliant to have a strong representative from the HRFC family so we can all help to spread the good work we do and look to recruit more people into the fold.
STILL not convinced? England play Wales in their 2nd World Cup warm up game which will be live on the big screen in the club house at 5:30pm. AND whisper it quietly but the weather actually looks quite good ...
Key timings for the day:
11am - Rugby starts featuring both our men's and ladies teams
12pm - Food festival opens to the public
4pm - Finals of the men's and ladies rugby
4:30pm - Presentations
5:30pm - England v Wales live on the big screen
7:30pm - Indi Forde kicks off his live set
9:15pm - Last orders
9:30pm - Event closes
